Is RV paint protection worth the money???

When you buy an rv from a dealer, they’re always going to try and upsell you on some things. Some of them I’m actually fond of. I frequently talk about slide toppers, and vent covers, which are some of the things they will try and sell you on. Slide toppers and vent covers I definitely stand behind, paint protection, not so much. Paint protection is sold under a lot of different names, such as ECP, ceramic coating, diamond coat, and many more. But in reality, they are really all the same thing, which is cheap spray on wax. It’s purchased in bulk sprayed and wiped off. Nothing any different than what you can buy at the store for thousands of dollars less.  if you do your research and read reviews from people who have had it for over a year, you will see the general consensus is that it doesn’t work. What you’re really paying for is the warranty, some of these products or packages come with a warranty that claim they will cover fading paint and discoloration. I personally never filed one of these claims so I won’t speak too much on that. But I will say the product itself is 100% not worth what they are trying to sell it to you for.
