In this one, “Valhalla After Hours”, Thayvian takes us into the well-stocked kitchen where the professional chefs prepare feasts for warriors. Then we spy on battle- and travel-weary wargamers in the Great Room in the dark of night, challenging each other in feats of daring, skill, and courage (eventually). Valhalla is one of the coolest things Warp Wide Wargaming’s Thayvian has attended—and this is his second time! What is Valhalla (outside of the whole Viking heaven thing)? Valhalla is a five-day wargaming convention paradise set in the scenic mountains of Utah, hosted by Blue Table Painting. You pick up your ticket, and they take care of the rest.
Thayvian attended October 19-25, 2014, and while there he filmed a couple of videos to share the goodness with our subscribers. Some of the things he learned there included videography tips from lighting to sound to camera lenses, the latest insights on upcoming changes in several games in the wargaming genre, newest jokes making the rounds, and tips on assembly and painting of miniatures and terrain.
