This video is a quick introduction to the basic pattern of The Blushda Hybrid Rudiment and a quick demo of the ProLogix Percussion "Red Storm" practice pad for Canadian Drum Gear.

The Blushda or "Blush-Da" is a Hybrid Rudiment that incorporates a few different elements. This rudiment is three notes long and begins with a Flam followed by a double stroke and one single stroke. Many drummers credit the incredible Tony Williams as the creator of this "lick" or hybrid rudiment however many drummers have learned the effectiveness of this pattern and it is a great one for you to have in your drumming arsenal!

You can practice this rudiment with whichever hand you like to lead with however it is always best to practice rudiments alternating with each hand and working on the control of your non-dominant hand as well as your dominant one.
