Drag racing vids at the 3min and 5 min mark in the video for the fucking morons who don't watch more than 30 seconds and then complain there's no drag racing !!!
Decided to put together a video of the progress I've made with my car over the last 4 years. The car was imported from Japan in 2003 with a genuine 63 000 miles on the clock and stood for 9 years after previous owner was unable to register the car in the UK. In 2012 I bought the car after it had stood outdoors exposed for 9 years solid. The paint work was ruined from overgrown bushes rubbing against the car and lack of cleaning or protection.

Fortunately the car had never turned a wheel on the UK roads and as such the under side was still like new with all the factory paint marks on the bolts still visible. The car was stripped to a shell and rebuilt by myself with the occasional help from some friends. I did most the labour for the respray and a friend carried out a budget paint job in a 1 off custom colour I mixed up.

Every single part was removed, refurbished and refitted. Virtually nothing was replaced and the initial build from collection to repainted and complete took 3 months total. I ran the car for a year before deciding to do a TT conversion. I already had a couple of TT's at the time but felt like having a challenge. Once on 9b's and methanol the car made a huge 393/510 at 26psi peak. Next was time to throw on some UK spec 11b's and pushed things again to a huge 452/560 at 24psi. Finallly I threw on some 13T's which is my current spec and now make 490/530 at 23psi.

The car is a full road going car with everything it left the factory with, I even had the AC blowing ice cold at the track ;)

Cost wise, this is a total budget build car costing me around 5 grand all in, including buying the car and the mods. Mainly because I had most the parts and also because I do all my own work. My sole goal has always been to get maximum gains for minimal input, something I have achived IMO.
