If you have problems with the coin chute sticking or not working it may be dirty. Luckily they are pretty easy to take apart and clean. I personally wouldn't recommend adding any lubrication since it will just collect debris and clog faster. You may be able to use compressed air and a vacuum to clean it without disassembly if it isn't too dirty.

Tools I would recommend:
#2 Phillips screwdriver
#1 Phillips screwdriver
Lint free towels
Glass cleaner
Toothbrush or small brush with plastic bristles (Metal brush will scratch/damage chrome)
