Russia's Invasion Impacts UK Property Market 2022

Although it may seem a little selfish to sit at home and think 'how will this affect me?' whilst a war is unfolding, and Ukraine stands its ground against Russia's invasion, I think its only natural to have these thoughts, and it's definitely an important topic to discuss as the effects of Putin's actions will ripple through our lives in many different ways.

This is my take on the UK property market 2022, based on the Russia Ukraine conflict.

A lot of what is happening in the property market is an inevitable part of the property and economic cycle. Inflation in the UK is on the rise and the cost of living is becoming a problem, especially utility bills such as gas. The war will further push these costs up, and the monetary policy that will follow will have a knock on effect on the entire property and construction market.

The aim of this video is to make you aware of these effects, so you can be informed and equipped to do further research and hopefully prepare in anticipation of what's to come.

I think it would be prudent to start building up an emergency fund just in case, be prepared for some potential lifestyle changes and don't give into the idea of fearing uncertainty. Times will get better, and now more than ever, I think the realisation that war does nothing but create unnecessary problems.
