White-bellied Parrot in the Wild - Brazil

This charismatic and very distinctive parrot, Pionites leucogaster, inhabits lowland terra firme forest South of the Amazon river. It is easier to find it along watercousers on the very tall trees therefore being quite hard to have a good look of it from the ground. This species lives on family groups of 3 to 10 individuals. The call is a very characteristic high pitched harsh voice well represented on this video.
