Описание к видео Pan in A minor by Lord Kitchener, Kaiso jazz collaboration between RBC and UTT! Calypso happiness..

As carnival in Trinidad and Tobago had to be cancelled this year due to Covid, here at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire (RBC) and the Academy of Performing Arts at the University of Trinidad and Tobago (APA/UTT), we thought it would be nice to mark the event anyway, with a festive Calypso/Kaiso jazz collaboration.

This features a fabulous rhythm section from APA/UTT and our wonderful Brass, Percussion and Jazz students from RBC. (All personnel in the end credits). Huge thanks to Alex Henshaw for his brilliant audio and video editing.

Special thanks to Anthony Woodroffe, Senior Instructor of Music (Woodwinds), UTT/APA, Seion Gomez, Music (Pan), UTT/APA and Aidan Chamberlain, Assistant Professor of Music (Brass), UTT/APA for all their help in setting this up: we hope it will be the beginning of a great relationship!
