From a country that was the craddle of a small but very rich underground Black Metal scene, which burnt bright, but burnt fast, fading away in the late 90s, and inclusded such great acts as the legendary Anubi, Poccolus, Ha Lela, Valefar, Nahash, Zpoan Vtenz...

Pagirnis definitely feeds on this well of Lithuanian idiosincracy reviving that sound while not being a simple revivalist exercise of nostalgia. Taking inspiration from Baltic folklore and mythology, both in themes as in artwork, the Folk music elements and some of the melancholic, melodic riffage, Pagirnis also adds a bit of throbbing a Punk edge onto some tracks, creating perfect tracks for ambushing invaders conceiled in the depths of the woods.
