Learn the G Major Pentatonic Scale With John Konesky [Part 5]

Описание к видео Learn the G Major Pentatonic Scale With John Konesky [Part 5]

Yeah, yeah, it's the phrase we hear all too often as guitarists. The infamous and nefarious PENTATONIC SCALE. The scale that has helped write some of the absolute finest solos ever to grace the airwaves as well as the worst sounds to infect your local Guitar Center every afternoon.

The pentatonic we all commonly think of is typically the minor pentatonic, and uses 5 notes that follow the blues scale to create a pattern that is almost universally useful across a wide variety of styles. Best of all, you can shift the root note around to match the key of what you are soloing in, or to follow the chord changes.

But what about the MAJOR pentatonic? Perchance you didn't even know there was one! Well wonder no more, because John Konesky (lead guitar, Tenacious D) is here to show you the way of all things major. He'll be breaking down this five-note phrase in several keys and shapes beginning on different strings, helping you to further expand your fretboard roadmap even more!
