Nilachal is one of the most visited places in Bandarban district of Bangladesh. This attractive tourist center has been built on the top of the Tigerpara hill, about six kilometers away from Bandarban city, under the supervision of the Nilachal Tourism Complex Bandarban district administration.

If Nilachal is called the Darjeeling of Bengal, its beauty can be understood. This project was inaugurated on January 1, 2006. This project has attractive rest houses for tourists named Shuvronila, 'Jhulant Nila', 'Niharika' and 'Valentine Point'. There are children's play facilities and seating arrangements in the complex. These places are arranged on the slopes of the mountain. The view of the mountains in front from different places is also different. One is completely different from the other, unique. At a height of about 1600 feet above sea level, this place can be touched by clouds in three seasons - monsoon, autumn or winter.

The entire Bandarban city can be seen at a glance from Nilachal. Tourists can enjoy the unique view of Cox's Bazar beach from Nilachal in a cloudless sky. An additional attraction in Nilachal is the blue-colored resort here. Named Nilachal Scape Resort. General tourists are allowed to visit this place until sunset.

Like Cox's Bazar, the Ministry of Tourism and the National Tourism Organization have taken effective initiatives to establish an Exclusive Tourist Zone (ETZ) in Bandarban as well. Everyone is optimistic that this project will be implemented by 2016.

নীলাচল বাংলাদেশের বান্দরবান জেলায় অন্যতম দর্শনীয় স্থান। এখানে নীলাচল পর্যটন কমপ্লেক্স বান্দরবান জেলা প্রশাসনের তত্তাবধানে বান্দরবান শহর থেকে প্রায় ছয় কিলোমিটার দূরে টাইগারপাড়ার পাহাড়চূড়ায় গড়ে তোলা হয়েছে আকর্ষণীয় এই পর্যটন কেন্দ্র।

নীলাচলকে বাংলার দার্জিলিং বললে বোঝা যায় এর সৌন্দর্য। ২০০৬ সালের পহেলা জানুয়ারি এই প্রকল্প উদ্বোধন করা হয়। এ প্রকল্পে রয়েছে শুভ্রনীলা,‘ঝুলন্ত নীলা’, ‘নীহারিকা’ এবং ‘ভ্যালেন্টাইন পয়েন্ট’ নামে পর্যটকদের জন্য আকর্ষনীয় বিশ্রামাগার। কমপ্লেক্সের মাঝে বাচ্চাদের খেলাধুলার ব্যবস্থা এবং বসার ব্যবস্থা রয়েছে। পাহাড়ের ঢালে ঢালে সাজানো হয়েছে এ জায়গাগুলো। ভিন্ন ভিন্ন জায়গা থেকে সামনের পাহাড়ের দৃশ্যও ভিন্ন ভিন্ন রকম। একটি থেকে আরেকটি একেবারেই আলাদা, স্বতন্ত্র। সমুদ্রপৃষ্ঠ থেকে প্রায় ১৬শ’ ফুট উঁচু এই জায়গায় বর্ষা, শরৎ কি হেমন্ত— তিন ঋতুতে ছোঁয়া যায় মেঘ।

নীলাচল থেকে সমগ্র বান্দরবান শহর একনজরে দেখা যায়। মেঘমুক্ত আকাশে কক্সবাজারর সমুদ্রসৈকতের অপুর্ব দৃশ্য নীলাচল থেকে পর্যটকেরা উপভোগ করতে পারেন। নীলাচলে বাড়তি আকর্ষণ হল এখানকার নীল রং এর রিসোর্ট। নাম নীলাচল স্কেপ রিসোর্ট। সাধারণ পর্যটকদের জন্য এ জায়গায় সূর্যাস্ত পর্যন্ত অনুমতি আছে।

কক্সবাজারের মত বান্দরবানেও এক্সক্লুসিভ ট্যুরিস্ট জোন (ইটিজেড) স্থাপনে পর্যটন মন্ত্রণালয় ও জাতীয় পর্যটন সংস্থাগুলোর কার্যকর উদ্যোগ নিয়েছে। ২০১৬ সালের মধ্যেই এ প্রকল্প বাস্তবায়ন হবে বলে সবাই আশাবাদী।
