Baltimore County police arrested a man in connection to the two-alarm house explosion on April 20. A house exploded on Crafton Road in Essex around 11 p.m. on April 20. According to police, Michael Greensfelder, 52, lived at the house until the recent separation from his wife. According to charging documents obtained by 11 News, Greensfelder threatened to kill his estranged wife or himself. Officials said police and fire investigators believe Greensfelder intentionally created a gas explosion that led to the fire that destroyed the home he shared with his estranged wife and children. Police said Greensfelder suffered first- and second-degree burns to his arms, legs, head, shoulders and neck.
