So Heroquest had two different OG versions, the original release and then a second version reprint, that changed enough rules to be considered a second edition, but it was never released as such. Whilst the most obvious changes were to the equipment cards and the first quest, there are other more subtle changes that perhaps might have not been picked up on, I know thinking back we never noticed these changes. So here's a detailed list of all the differences on cards, rules, and printed on books and on cards between the two. Hopefully this helps if you're uncertain which version you have, or if you just have a bunch of cards and can't tell where they came from.
