Post-match press conference with Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta after their 2-1 Premier League win over Wolves at Emirates Stadium.

Arteta says the result was a relief but insists the margin should have been bigger, pointing to Arsenal’s lack of precision and poor decision making in the box despite generating many situations in the first half.

He is critical of a brief spell of passive defending after half time, describing the manner of Wolves’ equaliser as unacceptable given they had not previously had a shot. Arteta credits Wolves for making the game difficult but admits Arsenal made it harder for themselves.

He also reflects on the importance of learning lessons even in victory, stresses the need to reset during the week ahead, and says standards and habits can deteriorate when not trained properly. Arteta calls for his side to be “full gas” from minute 1 to 96. He gives an injury update on Ben White and explains he risked playing William Saliba for 90 minutes despite a previous knee issue due to limited options.
