Born in Scotland in 1966 to a family steeped in artistic tradition, J.A. Fligel has made an indelible mark on the world of sculpture. His father, Leonard Fligel, was a distinguished painter and art professor in the U.K., and his mother, Anne Rowan, a celebrated artist and human rights activist.

From a young age, J.A. Fligel showed a natural inclination towards sculpting, which led him to pursue a B.A. Honors Degree in Fine Art. His journey took him from the art department of Upper Springlands to working with interior designers globally and contributing to renowned theatre and film productions such as The Lion King and Phantom of the Opera.

Since settling in Canada in 2001, J.A. Fligel has continued to elevate his craft, earning accolades such as a Bronze Medal from The Louvre Committee in 2015 for his sculpture "The Diver." His work celebrates the human spirit and strives to express the delicacy and beauty of life, emphasizing diversity, equality, and the power of unity.
