A Avenida Marechal Fontenelle é uma importante via da cidade do Rio de Janeiro

Com aproximadamente 6 km, é uma das principais vias dos bairros de Jardim Sulacap, Magalhães Bastos, Realengo e Campo dos Afonsos. É a avenida que abriga a maior quantidade do comércio local, como supermercados (dentre eles Carrefour Sulacap, Prezunic Magalhães Bastos e SuperMarket Mallet), bancos (Banco Itaú, Banco do Brasil e Banco Bradesco, este último, inaugurado em 2011), Real Vibe Music Bar, Parque Shopping Sulacap, Lona Cultural Gilberto Gil, clínicas, bares e onde passam a maioria das linhas de ônibus que ligam o bairro com diversos pontos da cidade do Rio de Janeiro

A avenida também abriga a Academia de Polícia Militar D. João VI

Historicamente, fez parte do chamado Caminho Imperial (também denominado como Estrada Real de Santa Cruz), rota utilizada pela Corte portuguesa e posteriormente pela Família Imperial Brasileira, no seu deslocamento entre a Quinta da Boa Vista e a Fazenda Imperial de Santa Cruz

Museu Aeroespacial - MUSAL é o maior e mais importante museu de aviação do Brasil. Localizado no Campo dos Afonsos, berço da aviação brasileira, na cidade do Rio de Janeiro, foi inaugurado em 18 de outubro de 1976. Está subordinado administrativamente ao Instituto Histórico-Cultural da Aeronáutica (INCAER) desde 1986

Seu acervo é constituído por diversas aeronaves, motores, armas e objetos vinculados a história da Aeronáutica e da aviação brasileira, além de ampla documentação histórica. Em exposição permanente, encontram-se oitenta aeronaves, incluindo uma réplica fiel do 14 Bis, o primeiro aparelho mais pesado que o ar construído por Santos Dumont. Possui ainda doze salas expositivas temáticas e um hangar de restauração

Neste final de semana, o Museu Aeroespacial realizou evento gratuito de grande impacto social para celebrar o Dia do Aviador e da Força Aérea Brasileira, com exposição de aeronaves históricas, apresentações aéreas, oficinas educativas, shows musicais, balonismo e muito mais!

Avenida Marechal Fontenelle is an important thoroughfare in the city of Rio de Janeiro

With approximately 6 km, it is one of the main roads in the neighborhoods of Jardim Sulacap, Magalhães Bastos, Realengo and Campo dos Afonsos. It is the avenue that houses the largest amount of local commerce, such as supermarkets (among them Carrefour Sulacap, Prezunic Magalhães Bastos and SuperMarket Mallet), banks (Banco Itaú, Banco do Brasil and Banco Bradesco, the latter, opened in 2011), Real Vibe Music Bar, Parque Shopping Sulacap, Lona Cultural Gilberto Gil, clinics, bars and where most of the bus lines that connect the neighborhood with different points in the city of Rio de Janeiro run

The avenue also houses the D. João VI Military Police Academy

Historically, it was part of the so-called Camino Imperial (also known as Estrada Real de Santa Cruz), a route used by the Portuguese Court and later by the Brazilian Imperial Family, in their movement between Quinta da Boa Vista and the Imperial Farm of Santa Cruz.

Aerospace Museum - MUSAL is the largest and most important aviation museum in Brazil. Located in Campo dos Afonsos, the birthplace of Brazilian aviation, in the city of Rio de Janeiro, it was inaugurated on October 18, 1976. It has been administratively subordinate to the Instituto Histórico-Cultural da Aeronáutica (INCAER) since 1986

Its collection consists of several aircraft, engines, weapons and objects linked to the history of Aeronautics and Brazilian aviation, in addition to extensive historical documentation. On permanent display, there are eighty aircraft, including a faithful replica of the 14 Bis, the first heavier-than-air aircraft built by Santos Dumont. It also has twelve themed exhibition rooms and a catering hangar

This weekend, the Aerospace Museum held a free event with great social impact to celebrate Aviator and Brazilian Air Force Day, with an exhibition of historic aircraft, aerial presentations, educational workshops, musical shows, ballooning and much more!
