To devise a strategy for the exam and to know how to approach a particular  section for exam, CAT aspirants need to know to how many questions have to be attempted to  get a particular percentile in the exam.
Do you want to know on attempting how many questions you will get a particular percentile?
 In this video as part of the #AskPatrick series , we try to answer the following question, asked by Vidhi Saria’ :- 
“What should be the number of attempts in the Quant section to score 90 or 99 percentile ? ”
Based on previous exam trends it has been observed that by solving  one-third of questions  one would get 90 percentile,  if one gets around two-third or 21/34(2019 pattern) will get 99 percentile  and around 33  out of 34 (2019) will get 100 percentile.
Getting 90 percentile in Quant section of  CAT is not difficult.  The key lies in the selection of easier ones and trying to  attempt those.
Focusing on mastering and getting better hold of easier ones will help rather than the tougher ones especially when an aspirant is practicing. Learning to assess which is tougher and which is easier will help in choosing or skipping a question in an examination.
Toughness of a question can also be reduced by using the  right methods while solving a question.
  It is highly recommended to watch the entire video to know how much percentile is obtained upon attempting how many questions in a quant section.  And what strategy should an aspirant follow while attempting the questions in the CAT exam.
