Want to learn how to cook? Or do you just love cooking and want to know more about food?

"Steak Tips" is a video training series on food and cooking. It was created by Chef Marty Rich to give you the basic information you should know before you start using recipes.

If you already know your way around the kitchen, you will still learn tips that will make you a better cook.

If friends and family are not an option for getting recipes, I have a suggestion. My "go to" resource is "Cook's Illustrated".
Their tag line is, America's Test Kitchen. They test every recipe over and over again, until it's foolproof.

Start with the magazine. It's $5.95 per month and the best resource I know for the money. Because it comes out each month, the recipes are seasonal. In addition to recipes, they review kitchen equipment and have regular segments on methods of preparation.

The best feature of Cook's Illustrated is that they explain the ingredients and the methods of cooking in depth before you get to the recipe. They tell you what happens when substitutions are made and they compare recipes to come up with the best one.

I highly recommend Cook's Illustrated!
