How to fix a Stuck Rear Brake Lever on a Motorcycle

Описание к видео How to fix a Stuck Rear Brake Lever on a Motorcycle

In this video, I will showcase my rear brake dilemma, which left me hanging in the middle of the street as the brake engaged and never disengaged. I will also demonstrate a solution that worked for me and perhaps will help you as well.

Ok, I am going to start with taking the mechanism apart, I cannot really get the bolt out for the control lever, so I will have to remove the foot stand. Now I can get the lever and the return spring out, and I will disconnect the lever that triggers the tail light. And here is my first big challenge, I cannot get the lever pin out, it is completely stuck, and after a lot of swear words, I got into creative solutions.

I used Tie Rod and Ball Joint Remover to push it out. Eventually, it worked just fine and got me to the root cause of the problem. Take a look at the result; that's a very rusty piece of metal; it looks like the rust build-up prevents it from functioning freely, blocking the needed return.

To clean it up, I am going to use a very nice solution previously recommended by Ryan F9 from Fortnine channel, Evapo Rust, I don’t have anything with them, but it looks like the solution work, even though it's on a pricey end. Looks great; now, let's get it back together and test it out.

It worked! So happy; it helped me and I hope that will also help you!

Cheers
