Описание к видео Common Tunes at Reasonable Speeds: Virtual Irish Music Session #80

Join us for the Tune Supply Virtual Irish Music Session LIVE @ 8pm ET on Sunday, January 23rd, for the fourth of a five-week revival of the virtual session during the Omicron Era. We'll be bringing back our CTARS-style session ("Common Tunes At Reasonable Speeds"), with Caitlin Warbelow and Chris Ranney leading. Special guests include Kevin Burke, Nuala Kennedy, Ashley Davis, Caoimhín Ó Fearghail, Christine Hedden, John Redmond, and David Munnelly.

We'll be announcing an initiative to help trad musicians who are again having work cancelled due to Covid. Please stay tune for details soon!

The theme for tonight's session is: Ancient History
Send us pictures related to the theme ([email protected]) by 4pm ET! We will put them onscreen during the session.

This session series is entirely supported by community contributions, and we pay our guest musicians a regular gig wage. Our motto is "Play What You Can, Pay What You Can!" Please contribute if you're able, with our thanks:

Info about the Tune Supply Virtual Session:
Until March 2020, we'd met every Thursday night for nearly six years at Mary O's in Manhattan's East Village. When the pandemic started, we moved the session online! Between March 2020 and June 2021, we produced 75 virtual sessions and put over $40k into the pockets of traditional musicians. Since then, we've reunited for virtual sessions from time to time, and look forward to continuing to do that regardless of where Covid takes us. You can watch all of our past sessions here:

We're hoping you will be doing from home what we usually do at your local Irish session pub. Have a bite to eat, enjoy a drink, and play tunes with us! If you're playing along at home, we recommend that you do so with headphones on...makes it much easier. Don't forget to interact with fellow session-goers in the live chat!
