On May 3, 2022, Roblox8192 published a Tool Assisted Speedrun (TAS) of the flash game 'This is the Only Level' that changed the scope of Real Time Speedruns forever. The TAS not only proved that the record was improvable, but that the gate in stage 25—that only opens every ten seconds—could be cleared a full cycle earlier, with only 4 frames of leeway. It was long believed that humans would never achieve this cycle but in June of 2025, everything changed. A button masher named MM9000 was able to tie stages 13 and 16, widely believed to be the hardest stages to do perfectly, and from there a group of very dedicated runners continued to tie each level until now only 2 frames remain between humans and the TAS (1 in stage 6 and 1 in stage 9). Although the human SOB has now achieved the 1:50 cycle, it will take countless more hours for anyone to hope to do the same in real time. But who knows? Perhaps one day it will happen. We've already gone this far!
