Nostalgia 4-Quart Electric Ice Cream Maker Review

I used a total of 6lbs of ice and about 1 cup of salt for my 6 cups of ice cream mixture.
Wash bucket, canister, lid, lid cap and dasher with warm soapy water and dry. They are not dishwasher safe. Chill Ice Cream Mixture for a few hours. Chill Canister until cold to the touch.
Pour chilled ice cream mixture into chilled canister. Do not fill more than ⅔ full. Put dasher in the middle. Cover with lid. Place canister in the middle of the bucket. Put about 6 cups of ice (smaller cubes or crushed) into bucket around the canister. Add ½ cup salt (any kind) on top of ice. Add more ice and salt. Fill below the drainage hole on bucket. Put motor on top and slid tabs into slots on bucket. Plug in and run for 30 minutes. After 10 to 15 mins, check and add more ice or salt if necessary. Also, stir ice and salt if you need to. Unplug unit. Remove motor. Wipe top of canister and remove from bucket. Ice cream will be soft serve consistency. Transfer to another airtight container and freeze until hard.
