#Dlium Fan maidenhair fern (Adiantum tenerum) is a plant species in the Pteridaceae, leaves are green, pinnate, fan-shaped, glabrous, curved or upright, grows mainly in the lowlands and is able to adapt well to clay, limestone, moist and shaded soil.

A. tenerum is an annual herb, spreading rhizomes, branched and alternate herbs, growing curved or hanging on the sidelines of vertical or sloping cliffs and on horizontal ground surfaces.

The stem is the bone of the leaf, sturdy, smooth and black. The stem branches in an alternating manner, tending to zigzag on each branch and ending in a single leaf at the tip.

Leaves at the end of the stem. The strands are fan-shaped, up to 2 cm wide, have a smooth surface, serrated edges and are green or bright green in color. Spores on the edge on the underside of the leaf.

Fan maidenhair fern is naturally found growing on cliffs along river banks, ponds, walls and piles of rocks as long as there is moist humus and is protected from sunlight.
