Hay fever, also known as seasonal allergies and allergic rhinitis.
Hay fever is a type of inflammation in the nose which occurs when the immune system overreacts to allergens in the air.
Signs and symptoms include a runny or stuffy nose, sneezing, red, itchy, and watery eyes, and swelling around the eyes.
Symptoms can be mild or sneezing and itchy eyes can be quit severe preventing most preventing most activities.
There is no known cure for Hay Fever and treatments range from high dose vitamin c to antihistamine medicine; from avoiding certain foods to allergy shots; and from honey to saline nasal irrigation.
