Me playing Metal Slug 4, Mission 4. AES mode, Normal difficulty, Vulcan Fix enabled. Recorded with WinKawaks. This video is not tool-assisted, though I did use autofire. Level select was used (from the ingame menu), that's why the points start from zero in every mission.

This video is over 5 years old, so I may not remember every detail about the gameplay. I believe I was aiming for max hostages and max Combo/Flag bonus on each level, and not getting hit at all.

More Vulcan Fix abuse. The firecracker-lobbing grunts are probably the biggest bastards in the whole SERIES. Except for Metal Slug 1, where you could destroy the firecrackers.

Your character will jump off the... crawler thing... at the next scene, so it's faster to just use the self-destruct.

Melee attacks give you 500 points (vs. 100 for a regular bullet hit), so they are very useful for racking up the combo/flag points. You can cancel a crouching melee by turning around. This is the most useful versus the Metal Slug 3 endboss, it allows you to do more damage faster.

Speaking of which: the flame shot does by FAR the most damage in the game, provided that all of the flame hits the enemy. This is why I didn't shoot the arm of the boss when it was on the ground, half of the flame shot would've passed the arm, and dissipate into air without doing damage.
