GRETSCH 14x4.25 Gergo Borlai Signature Snare Drum & SONOR SQ1 Soundcheck by Bryan Macaranas

Описание к видео GRETSCH 14x4.25 Gergo Borlai Signature Snare Drum & SONOR SQ1 Soundcheck by Bryan Macaranas

It's always fun to be able to have access to gear that I have only dreamt of owning, or at least be able to record / test / soundcheck. The Gretsch 14x4.25 Gergo Borlai Signature Snare Drum has been one of those drums on my wishlist. Fast forward to now, I was finally able to record this beautiful drum. Thanks Jackie Barnes for allowing me to babysit this puppy.

This drum looks stunning with a special 'sand-blast' type finish. The 1.2mm brass shell, 45 degree bearing edges, 40-strand snare wires and 4mm Die Cast hoops, definitely gives it a unique flavour and at the same time giving it such a broad tuning range. I hope this video conveys what I could hear as I put it through its paces and various tuning. It's one killer drum!

Recorded at Dirty Laundry Studios Brisbane QLD, Australia FEBRUARY 2024
