"Barry Beam & Lester Temple's Danny Boy and the Serious Party Gods project, Castro Boy, was a 1983 track narrated by a stereotypical gay dude from San Francisco's Castro street neighbourhood. As no major label would accept to produce the project, a label was created just for the occasion; and as it turns out, it had some underground success at the time, and has gained somewhat cult status since.The "song" is about the Castrostreet scene in San Francisco and some kind of a parody on "Valley Girl" by Moon Zappa (daughter of Frank). Not only is the music good, the lyrics are incredibly funny as well. This EP was reissued in 2005 on the Panama label out of the Netherlands".
