SIMPSON DESERT // HAY RIVER TRACK - Part 1 - EP. 57

We finally hit The Hay River Track in the Northern Simpson Desert in this Epic episode. We depart Jervois Station along the corrugated track towards Batton Hill Bush Tucker Camp before tracking South along the iconic Hay River. The high temperatures take second place to the beautiful Northern region of the Simpson Desert. We make Camp right on the Tropic of Capricorn and enjoy an Outback Steak by the fire for dinner. The follow day we keep heading South and make the side trip out to Lake Caroline, the large expansive clay pan.
