First of all, remove the portafilter and purge in order to have a clean water backflush. Now use a small brush to keep the group head area clean then purge again.

Replace the basket with a blind basket and apply some coffee machine cleaner on it. You can use powder, liquid or tablet cleaners. Engage the portafilter and start the cycle!

Press the Hot Water key for 3 seconds. The continuous buttons of the groups will start flashing. Remember: the cleaning cycle can be run independently in each group or in all groups simultaneously. To start the cleaning procedure, press the middle button. If the group are cleaned simultaneously, press the middle button in each group to start the procedure. If the groups are cleaned separately, it is possible to use the groups not engaged in washing operations for other functions.

At the end of the washing cycle, the continuous buttons will start flashing again and it will be possible to activate the rinse cycle. As long as the rinsing procedure is not carried out entirely, the group is blocked.
