Recording of the North Saskatchewan Watershed Alliance's Watershed Wednesday Webinar with Kallum McDonald.

Kallum discussed their work with the Aquatic Invasives division. Utilizing citizen science reporting, eDNA monitoring, and on-the-ground surveys, their team tackles infestations across Alberta's watersheds. Kallum will discuss the complex challenges - and new opportunities - at play in the fight against species like flowering rush, Prussian carp, whirling disease, and other newly discovered aquatic invasive species in the North Saskatchewan River and beyond. Learn how aquatic invasives enter our waterways and how proactive, collective action can prevent further proliferation of these invaders.
