I walk from Carfax to The Old Sheep Shop, also known as Alice's Shop, opposite the Memorial Gardens on St. Aldates. There I explain the shop's history — it actually is the same building that Carroll wrote about and had illustrated, and has been a shop ever since — and what it has to do with an Old Sheep. I then walk over to Christchurch Meadow and give a reading of "Wool and Water", where Alice visits the shop in Alice Through The Looking-Glass, and then it turns into a boat on a river, and then two eggs are cheaper than one. If only this could happen to Tesco.
