In this issue, Bishop learns that he, and his deputies Malcolm and Randall, are stuck in the past, as Trevor Fitzroy's time portals are one-way only; and so he orders the termination of Fitzroy and the future criminals; the X-Men battle Bishop to prevent the mass murder; meanwhile, Fitzroy is abducted by agents of Shinobi Shaw, who takes back his ring of status; Prof. X successfully transfers Jean's psyche from the White Queen back into her healed body; Bishop recognizes the X-Men, whom he reveres, but becomes convinced they're fake; when Fitzroy's base explodes, the Gold Team escapes, and Bishop and his deputies also escape separately; finally, the Gamesmaster and Selene are revealed as being behind the Upstarts' rivalry!
