LNER Class A4 Sir Nigel Gresley, No. 4498 or BR 60007, the famed 100th A4 Pacific Locomotive, and currently the last surviving working Class A4 Steam Locomotive, recorded during her special stay, at the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, during the 2023 Annual Steam Gala.

This was Sir Nigel Gresley's second major appearance on the heritage railway line, after her recent overhaul completing in 2022. The locomotive sports a British Railways Blue livery, which was originally used in 1950-1952, and again in preservation, from 1995-2006, and 2023 to the present.

Recorded on location between 21st-23rd September 2023.

Filmed by Craig Greenslade, at various points of the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, in and around Grosmont, Goathland, and Pickering, in the North Yorkshire Dales, in fairly mixed weather conditions. Also featuring being cleaned in Grosmont Yard.

Originally built in 1937 at Doncaster works for the London and North Eastern Railway, Sir Nigel Gresley is a brother of the World Speed Record Breaking locomotive - Mallard, which is a now a permanent exhibit of the National Railway Museum in York.
