We traveled back to New Orleans, Louisiana to continue our search for 13 missing people, focusing on the many canals and waterways that run throughout the city. These canals are often overlooked and can be used to dump vehicles or hide evidence, making them critical areas to search.

Today’s search begins in Montz, Louisiana, just west of New Orleans, where Pearl Scarkino has been missing since 2001. Pearl was last seen driving a 1993 green Ford Crown Victoria, and very little is known about what happened after she disappeared. photo used is AI generated

After running sonar scans on several ponds in the area, we located two submerged vehicles and deployed our Chasing underwater drone to investigate. Unfortunately, neither vehicle appeared to be connected to any missing persons cases. We reported both vehicles to the local sheriff’s office, who plans to return at a later date with their dive team to remove them.

The search continues. The next several episodes will focus on scanning and investigating vehicles in the canals throughout downtown New Orleans as we work to bring answers to families still waiting for them.
