WFP Innovation Accelerator Pitch Event | February 2024

As the world endures an unprecedented global food crisis, up to 783 million people go to bed hungry each night. Shockingly, a record high of almost 350 million people are facing acute food insecurity, putting their lives or livelihoods in immediate danger.

In response, the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) Innovation Accelerator’s latest Innovation Challenge called for groundbreaking humanitarian innovations in the areas of preparedness and prevention, effective relief assistance, and supply chain resilience, to help ensure that WFP can stretch donor dollars further while reducing hunger globally.

On Friday, 16 February 2024, we held our WFP Innovation Pitch Event. Witness the newest cohort of cutting-edge startups and social entrepreneurs pitch live in front of potential funders, government officials, and industry leaders.

The WFP Innovation Accelerator sources, supports and scales high-potential solutions to end hunger worldwide. We provide WFP staff, entrepreneurs, start-ups, companies and non-governmental organizations with access to funding, mentorship, hands-on support and WFP operations.
