In this session, we delve into enhancing our CRUD API for stream and video clip management. The main focus, however, shifts to processing the audio of video clips. I explore the implementation of a feature from the Django version of this app, which involves analyzing the audio of video clips to identify silences. This not only assists in pinpointing breaks in streams but also serves as a stepping stone to more complex audio analysis.

Furthermore, I take on the challenge of building a 'Silence Detection API' - a Rust microservice integrated with common API endpoints. This involves setting up Docker Compose, Nginx configurations, and ensuring the endpoint is accessible. Alongside, I document the API's functionality, defining the input and output structures in Rust, and preparing to test them via Postman.

One of the highlights of this video is my exploration of silence detection in audio streams using FFmpeg. I delve into the intricacies of FFmpeg commands, seeking efficient ways to detect silences and parse the output data for our API's consumption.

Throughout this journey, I also ponder over how to effectively integrate this service into the larger framework of the project, particularly considering task orchestration for processes that handle large volumes of data.
