3. Refugees

When news of the Imperial invasion spread, people began a painful journey to safety.
Countless people abandoned their homes, fleeing war with the Empire and avoiding enslavement.
The Imperial army preyed on defenseless refugees.
The Imperial army had a specialized unit dedicated to slave hunting.
The slave-hunting units were lightly armed and rode on horseback.
The slave-hunting units mercilessly hunted the refugees.
The refugees captured by the Imperial army were enslaved and treated as objects of ridicule.
The Imperial army stripped the refugees of everything, destroying their faith, ideology, and spirit.
No one could protect the refugees from the Imperial invasion.
Only a few reached the harsh and barren lands of the north, where the Imperial army had not yet arrived.
Survival in this dangerous land, uncharted territory, was even more difficult. Because in the land where no one lived, there lived terrifying beasts such as wolves as big as bulls and bears as huge as monsters.

O LORD, how many are my foes! How many rise up against me!
