After Rangda’s defeat by Bheem and Barong in Bali, Barong left a boon: as long as goodness remained in Bali, Rangda would stay trapped in her shadow form. He entrusted Guru Bahula with powers to protect Bali. Years later, these powers are to be passed to young monk Arka, but the 15-day transfer ritual leaves Bali vulnerable. Rangda attacks, trying to destroy Bali’s goodness. Guru Bahula saves Arka by sending him to Dholakpur, where Bheem and friends rescue him. When Bheem touches Barong’s seal, he receives visions calling him to Bali. The team travels there, but Rangda possesses Arka and steals Barong’s power. Unable to fight her directly, Bheem watches as Bali turns evil. Three monks help the team escape corruption and reveal that the fire on Batur Parvat can separate Rangda from Arka. After many trials, Bheem reaches the fire, but Rangda defeats them and regains her mega form. In a final plea, Bheem awakens the fire—Barong’s resting form. Barong merges with Bheem, creating Barong Bheem, who defeats Rangda, frees Arka, and restores peace to Bali.
