STORYLINE
The mother of a 15-year-old who minded cattle for South Africa''s most notorious white supremacist leader said on Monday said her son struck him with an iron rod after he refused to pay him, a slaying which has heightened racial tension as South Africa prepares to host the World Cup.
She spoke in an exclusive interview with AP Television News conducted in the Tswana language during which she outlined the alleged course of events leading up to Eugene Terreblanche''s death.
Her statements undermine claims the killing was inspired by an apartheid-era song urging people to kill white farmers.
Boer means farmer in the Afrikaans language.
