The optimism and confidence in our economy is strong, the infrastructure required to accommodate new businesses and families is in place, and our area structure plans for future growth are in place. Swift Current boasts the lowest residential property taxes and the third lowest commercial property taxes in Saskatchewan, making our city the ideal location to do business in the province. Investment is growing in Swift Current with over 500 new residential homes built and $238 million of building permits issued in the past 6 years, which is a value exceeding that of the past 20 years combined. The City must do all it can to attract new businesses and industries while fostering a thriving business community in Swift Current.
