Clinometer Reconditioning: Testing Accuracy

Описание к видео Clinometer Reconditioning: Testing Accuracy

This video shows how I use an improvised setup to test the accuracy of my 1966 made Avimo Clinometer, aka. gunners quadrant. I bought this tool recently and had to recondition it by hand scraping, because once in it's lifetime it was dropped, which caused it's frame to distort. To test it's accuracy, I made a receiver plate to be held in my Walter UTA dividing head. This plate is machined and hand scraped, of which footage is included in the video. The receiver plate also holds the testing standard, which is my beloved Wild-Heerbrugg T2 theodolite. For testing, the latter is targeted on a fixed reference (here a mountain farmer's window), and then the horizontal circle is read. The results show that this clinometer's precision is better than 1.75 arc minutes.
