Baby Squirrel Rescue. What to do:
1. They are mammals and need care just like humans.
2. They will not bite or scratch, can be picked up with bare hands. Look around for other babies!!! They are born in litters of pups.
3. Keep "Warm": Give it a T-shirt and blanket inside a box or cage, don't leave outside if temperatures are low. Use a heat pad on low, or heat up a baked potato and put inside.
4. Feed it puppy milk. If not available a 50/50 mixture of whole milk and plain yogurt with a little maple syrup added will work temporarily. They take best to a bottle with a nipple.
5. Call your local wildlife rescue. They adapt better when able to socialize with other baby squirrels.
6. Please think of the animal and do what is right for it. If it is not eating, don't wait until it is dying to call your local Wildlife Resource. Thank you!!!
