Today's 2nd lesson went very well. I had an hour warming-up before the lesson so I'm too tired after the lesson to record anything listenable...

We went through the last 3 pieces in the 1st Suzuki Book, some issues were:
1. Right hand, the index finger should always be curved rather than straight, it should be able to hold and play the cello using only the thumb, index and the little fingers.

2. Left-hand fingers could be more verticle to the strings, especially playing fast passages, to prevent touching the other string.

3. The bow should stay on the string whenever possible, only leave the string when need to.

4. bar 29 of Minuet No.2 need to be more legato.

5. the finger extension needs to pivot on the last 3 fingers rather than the 1st.

Later we moved on to talk about the second position, which is quite difficult at this moment...my brain needs to be trained in order to be familiar with position shifting and all the extension on 4 strings.

Tomorrow I will start to practise the 2nd Suzuki Book!
