इस दिन भगवान विष्णु और देवी लक्ष्मी की पूजा की जाती है.
इस दिन व्रत रखने और विधिपूर्वक पूजा करने से सभी तरह के पापों से मुक्ति मिलती है.
इस दिन भगवान विष्णु के साथ माता लक्ष्मी की पूजा करने से धन-धान्य में बरकत आती है.
इस दिन चातुर्मास खत्म होते हैं.
इस दिन घर की सफ़ाई करनी चाहिए और आंगन या पूजाघर के बाहर भगवान के चरणों की आकृति बनानी चाहिए.
इस दिन घर में ओखली पर गेरू से भगवान विष्णु का चित्र बनाकर उस पर मिठाई, फल, सिंघाड़े, गन्ना, और आंवला चढ़ाना चाहिए.
इस दिन व्रत का पारण 13 नवंबर को सुबह 6 बजकर 42 मिनट से सुबह 8 बजकर 51 मिनट तक किया जाएगा.
