The Netflix app for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U shut down in June 2021 after 10 years, and almost 2 years before the 3DS eShop closed in 2023. In the final month before Netflix shut down, I recorded some footage to preserve the experience and watch some movies and shows on the 3DS one last time. Let's take a look at what the menus looked like, as well as the resolution and codec the app used to serve video to the 3DS.

There's still no Netflix app for Nintendo Switch as of 2024, nor are there many streaming apps for Switch in general. Hulu and Crunchyroll are available. The Twitch app for Nintendo Switch was shut down in January 2024.
