How to Download Games for Winlator with GOG?

I have a video here on my channel showing you how to install PC games using the popular emulator called Winlator. But in the comments section of that video I'm asked over and over again what are some good ways to find and download games that they can play.

So today, I want to show you the most popular method. . .and it's from a PC game web store called Good Old Games, aka GOG for short.


Finding Games on GOG
This method is usually considered the easiest because the games offered by the website are completely DRM-Free.
And they are going to be games you currently own. So no piracy is involved here at all.

You'll start off by launching a web browser and visiting the website gog.com
Then, log into an account or go ahead and create one if you have yet to register with the platform.

Now, tap this hamburger menu icon in the top right corner.
Select your user account from the bottom.
And then select the Games category.

This will take you to a library of games that you have purchased or acquired through Good Old Games.
Some of these may not be perfectly playable using Winlator, but they're absolutely games that you can install.
The only way to know for sure is to try it yourself.


Downloading Games on GOG
So tap on the banner for a game you'd like to download for Winlator.
And you'll see this menu appear at the bottom.
You want to look for the Offline Installer section.
And you should see at least one file here in this list.

There's only one file here, but if there are multiple then you should download all of them.
You can choose to download these files to your PC, and then transfer them over to your Android device.
Or you can download them directly on your smartphone or tablet.

After it has been downloaded, you'll find that file within the Downloads folder of your device.


Installing Games with Winlator
Now, you can launch the Winlator container that you have already setup.
If you're not familiar with how to do this, be sure to check the video description below for a introductory video that I've previously done here on the channel. I'll have that linked in the pinned comment as well, so that it's easy for everyone to find.

Now, simply install the game like you normally would, and then see how it performs on your Android smartphone or tablet.


Conclusion
There are a few places that offer DRM-Free games but Good Old Games is really the best source.
Not only does the company put in a lot of effort to get these old games running on modern hardware, but they do it without injecting annoying DRM into the games that you yourself paid for.
