Hi-Flow Cat Install 350Z 370Z G37

Описание к видео Hi-Flow Cat Install 350Z 370Z G37

If you had to pick just one mod for your Z or Infiniti this might be the one! It will deliver a big dose of sound and power in one install. Check out the whole process as we install this version from Berk Technology.

First Impressions
----------------
The biggest surprise with this install was how easy it was. Most people make a huge deal out of the installation process (and some of the bolts are on there super tight) but with filming and moving at a slow pace the parts were on in a few hours. Most people should be good in under an hour or two.

The next biggest surprise was the amount of power gains this part produced. On its inaugural run down the highway I thought I was approaching 65mph before I looked down and realized I was already at 80!

The exhaust got a healthy dose of decibels as well. In some ways I miss the more mellow tune of the Nismo exhaust and JWT intake but at the same time the new, fierce growl of the engine is awesome in its own way.

What You'll Need
----------------
HFC or Test Pipe for 350Z/G35/G37: I specifically chose the high-flow cats from Berk Technology because they use the catalytic converter brackets and have special bungs for the O2 sensor that eliminate check engine lights.

Quality Hand Tools: Ratchet, sockets, and screwdrivers are required along with universal joint, long extensions and breaker bar. I highly recommend 1/2" drive for the extension and universal joints. Those bolts are on there extremely tight and 3/8" equipment may snap.

PB Blaster: Makes bolts much easier to remove. Spray on all bolts at least 30 min before installation but make sure not to soak any plastic tubes or wire casings.

Eye Protection: Highly recommended when installing anything under the car. Rust in the eyes is a good excuse to visit the eye doctor and get a mini-drill to the cornea (just ask Brian who you see in the video above...).

Applications
----------------
This video applies directly to the 2007+ Z cars (VQ35HR engine) as well as the 2007+ G35 Sedans and the latest G37 coupes (VQ37HR engine).

The install should be similar (just one less intake) on earlier 350Zs and Infinitis with the VQ35DE engines.

Additional Info: How to reset your ECU
----------------
Follow these steps after your install to help the engine computer learn the new flow characteristics of the engine.

1. Confirm that accelerator pedal is fully released, turn ignition switch ON and wait 3 seconds.
2. Repeat the following two procedures quickly five times within 5 seconds:
A. Fully depress the accelerator pedal (HARD).
B. Fully release the accelerator pedal.
3. Wait 7 seconds, fully depress the accelerator pedal and keep it for approx. 10 seconds until the CEL starts blinking.
4. Fully release the accelerator pedal (while the CEL is still blinking)
5. Wait about 10 seconds.
6. Fully depress the accelerator pedal and keep it for more than 10 seconds.
7. Fully release the accelerator pedal (The CEL light will continue to blink).
8. Turn ignition switch to OFF position and now you can start the car. The CEL light should be gone.
