I recently had the chance to test the Peugeot France 2008 for a full week – and I’ll be honest: this car impressed me. From its premium interior to the deep engine sound and an unexpectedly refined audio system, Peugeot merges French design flair with surprising performance. The fuel consumption was refreshingly low, and the drive smooth yet agile. But something else happened during this test – I started thinking beyond specs and style. I started thinking about the brand itself.

Peugeot has been around for over a century – and yet the lion on its hood keeps changing. Sometimes bold and fierce, sometimes sleek and minimal – today it looks almost like a medieval crest. The latest design feels cold, precise, digital – as if Peugeot wanted to leave its emotional roots behind. And still, the symbolism remains: power, agility, elegance. I aimed to reflect exactly that in my photo story – conceptualized, moderated and produced by me, Sandra Wötzel, for Karrideo Image- und Eventfilmproduktion Inh. Christian Weiße.

I wanted to make the transformation tangible – through images, editorial structure and my own voice as presenter and producer. Peugeot Cars is now part of Stellantis – one of the world’s biggest automotive groups. But my focus remained: how a symbol can make us feel. That’s the story behind this series.
