Midgauge Fairisle Round Yoke Cardigan Buttonhole Tutorial

Описание к видео Midgauge Fairisle Round Yoke Cardigan Buttonhole Tutorial

This is support video, part 1, for the Bands and Buttonholes lesson for the Midgauge Fairisle Round Yoke Cardigan pattern. It demonstrates knitting buttonholes on basic knitting machines, including the LK150 and KX350, but is suitable for all knitting machines. In it I explain how to determine the number of stitches needed for front bands that are picked up along the front edge and knitted double-thickness in stockinet, a style machine knitters often call “tailored bands”.

We then move on to some tips on choosing buttons, and finally a complete tutorial on knitting 2-stitch and 3-stitch buttonholes. These are demonstrated being knit on an LK150, but the same method works equally well on the KX350, and all metal bed knitting machines, including standard gauge ones.

This pattern is free on my Facebook group, and is what we are using for a KAL, that is currently in progress as of October 31, 2020. The pattern will continue to be available after the KAL ends.

There are several other free patterns for round yoke pullovers and cardigans, and support material on Facebook group, Machine Knitting Round Yokes. We’d love to have you join. This is a very active and friendly group. You must agree to follow the group rules, which are no selling or self-promotion, and post only about round yoke sweaters (no political, religious, race/ethnic issues, etc.)

If this is something you find interesting, the direct link to the group is   / 431730810551554   Hope to see you there.
The pattern will also be available free on my website by October 30, 2020, after the KAL ends. All discussion about it is in the Facebook group.

I hope you find this video helpful.
