hi friends!! in the wake of my recent revision on Project Moths, i wanted to show you guys a concrete series of steps that I like to keep in mind when undergoing a major self-edit.

self-editing is often hugely challenging, but it's also one of my absolute favorite parts of the process! sitting with my work and getting the chance to examine it from different perspectives, figure out what works and what doesn't, and then try to fix up the project is one of my absolute favorite stages of writing.

i hope the steps i've laid out here are helpful to anyone who is newer in their writing journey, as well as those who are more experienced, but of course, prescriptivist writing advice is for the birds. this is what works for me, and if it doesn't work for you, that is totally okay!
